Hello and welcome! I’m Arawn, a software developer and hardware engineer. I hold a Cyber Security MSc from De Montfort University in Leicester, UK, and this is my personal blog :)

What You’ll Find Here

I plan to write about topics I’m passionate about, including:

  • Cyber Security — my day job :) including research, tools, and techniques
  • Systems Programming — C/C++, x86 assembly, operating system development, and low-level hacking
  • Retro Computing & Gaming — classic machines, platforms, and game ports (including my ongoing Doom PS2 port!)
  • Open Source Projects — updates and write-ups on Medli OS and other work
  • Guitar & Music — the occasional post about playing electric, acoustic, and bass guitar

A Bit About Me

I hold a MSc in Cyber Security and First Class BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and spent a year as a Technical Specialist at Leicestershire County Council, where I worked with a range of technologies including GIS mapping, Linux systems, virtualisation, and database administration.

I’m experienced with a wide range of languages and tools — Ruby on Rails, C#, C/C++, x86 Assembly, Java, PHP, JavaScript, .NET, MySQL, PostgreSQL, OpenAPI, OS Maps, QGIS, and Linux, to name a few.

Let’s Collaborate!

I’m always looking for people to collaborate on interesting projects. If you’d like to work together — whether on Medli OS, the PS2 Doom port, or something entirely new — don’t hesitate to get in touch via GitHub.

Thanks for stopping by — stay tuned for more posts! 🎸
